It’s been a long half term week and the Spring term is nearly here! There’s lots to remember for Back To School: uniform, reading books, PE kit, and it’s easy to forget the little things. But something you definitely shouldn’t ignore is your school shoes.
Is your son or daughter due a growth spurt? Or have they been saying their school shoes are too tight? Even if you haven’t mentioned the pesky things since last term ended, it’s always good to double check your shoes before you go back, mostly to save yourself the hassle later on.
We encourage you to pop by the shop when you have a spare five minutes with your school shoes so can reassure you that your son or daughter is safe to go on their way with the new term. We’ll be genuine and honest and only expect you to purchase a new pair if those little toes are really squished – as we understand that new shoes aren’t always necessary, if you can get a few more weeks out of them, then that’s what we will advise!
We will check any shoes, whether they are from our shop or elsewhere; plimsolls, trainers and even outside of school shoes if you need those checking too.
If you need shoes in the future, Stomp offers a full measuring and fitting service by trained staff. We cater for orthotic insoles and splints, as well as a range of widths and depths fittings. We are a friendly team led by three Mum’s and we all understand the stress of getting new school shoes or finding out they dont fit on the last day of the holidays!
So make sure you check your shoes before the new terms starts, your future self will thank you!
